GrandMA3 fixture personalities for custom XML shortcut mapping?
Hi there. I'm currently structuring a new show file on grandMA3 and I need to align our console shortcuts with the custom XML layout generated for Resolume.
Are there official MA fixture personalities or profiles available here that map directly to your shortcut layout, or do we need to compile them from scratch?

Hi Lukas, welcome to the forum.
You hit on a very core aspect of our workflow. Currently, pre-compiled grandMA3 fixture profiles are not natively available on the platform yet, as we are heavily focusing on the XML shortcut side.
However, you can easily build your own profile by mapping the DMX charts and shortcut specs already available here on the site. The best part is that you only need to program the personality and shortcuts for the very first layer (Layer 1). Once that is done, you can feed your XML file directly into our web Processing Engine: it will automatically multiply those shortcuts across all the subsequent layers you need for your show file, exactly as detailed in our documentation.
We would absolutely love to see your custom grandMA3 profiles once they are tested. If you follow our guidelines and successfully compile them, feel free to share your work with us. We would be thrilled to host your fixture personalities permanently on the site and officially welcome you as a Partner Member for our future developments.
